Henna
Jazz up any event with Henna Arts. For centuries, mehndi — the art of henna painting on the body — has been practiced in India, Africa, and the Middle East, where the henna plant is believed to bring love and good fortune, and to protect against evil. Mehndi is traditionally practiced for wedding ceremonies, during important rites of passage, and in times of joyous celebration. A paste made from the crushed leaves of the henna plant is applied to the skin, and when removed several hours later, leaves beautiful markings on the skin that fade naturally over 1 to 3 weeks.
One artist can typically work on 8-12 people her hour.
Our prices reflect an hourly rate of $175 per hour per artist.
Host Provides:
Cover from Sun and Rain: If your event is outdoors you will need to provide sun cover. Our face painters DO NOT work in direct sunlight due to damaging the paint.
Two Chairs: one for the artist and one for the guest.
Flat Surface: to work on.
Set Up:
Artist will arrive 5-10 mins prior to scheduled time. Set up for artists is fairly quick and simple. Please be sure you have made it clear who your artist is to check in with before your event.
Added Time on the Day of Event:
So your event is a big hit and you want to keep your artist for longer. YES! You can do that. We bill in 30 min increments so if your event goes over 15 mins, you pay for 30 mins and if your event goes over 55 mins you pay for an additional hour. You may pay for this service via credit card after your event if you have a credit card on file with us. We DO NOT TAKE CASH OR CHECKS at the event. If your artist is suggesting taking cash for added time, please report this as it is a violation of your contract and theirs.
Tips:
We do not require tips but always appreciate them deeply. You may tip your artist in advance via credit card or pay in cash on the day of. Please note that the artists pay for processing credit card fees so cash is the best option for tips if available.
Travel Fee:
We have a mandatory standard travel fee of $50 that is added to your order. This accounts for the artist's travel time to and from your event, travel expenses, and prep time for your event. You may receive an added invoice for this after you book your event if it is not paid for upfront. Please note that depending on where your artist is traveling from, where your event is located, and/or parking fee the travel fee may have additional fees.
Cancellation Policy:
All sales are final. We do not provide refunds. We understand that unavoidable circumstances arise and appointments have to be rescheduled. Rescheduling can be made 48 business hours prior to your appointment. We can not promise that your desired time will be available on such short notice, however, we will accommodate you to the best of our ability. Payments are nonrefundable. If rescheduling or canceling is made less than 48 business hours prior to your appointment you are responsible for full payment of your event. We work hard behind the scenes to make sure your event is staffed on the day of your event.
